Beautiful, powerful post. Your challenge became your inspiration to find the antidote which opened up so much synchronicity and inspiration. Love love love.

love this! So excited to witness and support this journey. Such beautiful writing. This is a LONG essay-I never read long essays. And even if I didn't know you, I'd read this one. Hurray for you!

Aww... double thank you, my friend -- for reading my LONG essay, and for your support along the way. I love that we're here for each other's journeys! (And I love knowing you're out there feeling energized by summer even when I'm not!)

Goosebumps for the whole of this (especially the part about giving yourself the gift of time and inner peace.) This is going to be a great leg of your journey, and I'm planting myself here at your (virtual) feet for the whole of it.

Oh you have no idea how much I appreciate this! It feels on some level so completely insane but on another level so real! I’m grateful to have you planted (virtually) with me!!

If you get this grant (and I'm hopeful that you do because I'd love to see what you come up with), may I come with you as an assistant...?? Only partially kidding LOL.

What a beautiful, powerful essay! I so appreciated the perspectives on the seasons and their impact on our emotions.

Thank you so much for reading, Debbie! And yes -- the seasons hold more power than I think most of us realize (I've been very much enjoying the cooler day today -- including the rainy morning!) It has been fascinating reading (since writing this) about the "seasons" in Antarctica which are not just opposite, but so different in how dramatically they are influenced by the presence -- or lack -- of the sun altogether!

haha that's definitely not the takeaway from the post I thought you'd have upon learning your daughter wants to go to Antarctica, but... it is a fun and love-filled reference :)
